My wife loves to tell about new things that she is excited about.  She loves to tell how it works or how convenient it is or its color.  When she gets excited about this product, I just want to go to the bottom line.  That is the cost.  I will signal her with my hand flat down in the air at my waist and she knows I want to go to the bottom line.  She will tell me that I need all this other information before I get to the bottom line.

I said all this to illustrate an important principle in life. I have been saved since 1972.  I have witnessed to many people about my Saviour in these years.  But I have noticed that people are trying to give excuses or explanations about why they can not come to the Saviour for the salvation of their soul.  It is my desire to get to the bottom line.  The bottom line is simply this:

“What will you do with Christ?”

People offer the excuse or explanation that they are so busy that they have no time to go to church and hear about this one that is the Christ.  “After all, preacher, I work all the time and Sunday is my only day off.”  My question is still:

“What will you do with Christ?”

People offer the excuse or explanation that they don’t have proper clothes to go to church where they can hear about the One whom is the Christ.  They seem to have clothes for other occasions.  So the question still is:

“What will you do with Christ?”

People offer the excuse or explanation that they do not know anyone at the church and thus will feel like they are an outsider.

The question that needs to be asked as the bottom line is still:

“What will you do with Christ?”

People offer the excuse or explanation of their family and spending time with them as why they cannot come to church and learn of the One who is the Christ, the Saviour of the world. They just do not go to the bottom line:

“What will you do with Christ?”

So maybe you might be curious of who is this Christ, that is the bottom line?  Christ is the way to Heaven.  He boldly proclaimed this truth in John 14:6.  He did not say he was a way but The Way.  Some offer the excuse that there are many religions in this world.  But the bottom line is this:

“What will you do with Christ?”

Christ is the one who died on the cross for our sins.  Since He died for our sins, the bottom line is once again:

“What will you do with Christ?”

The answer is so simple that if you are not careful, you stumble over it.  You will either accept this One who is the Christ.  Or you reject Him as the Christ.  There is not middle ground.  If you say, “I will not deal with this question now”, then you chose to reject Him who is the Christ.

Some say that they will wait until they are older.  They want to wait until they have had all the fun of this world.  But they are not dealing with the bottom line:

“What will you do with Christ?”

Why is this so difficult in our dealings?  It may be that we do not see the inevitable plight of every man, woman, boy and girl.  It is the plight of dying.  No one knows what day or hour the hand of death will reach out and take you away from the land of the living.

Since this is the plight of everyone, then there must be a way of life that prepares you for death. There is a way that is in reality The Way, which is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Some basic facts, before I complete this piece of Gospel literature.

1.  Everyone is born a sinner.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned”

2.  Jesus Christ died for our sins. Romans 5:12

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

3.  You can do nothing to save yourself.

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” Titus 3:5

Isaiah 64:4 “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

With this in mind, you are now going to make a decision.  This decision can change your life for the better or the worse. Before going any further, let me share with you one more truth.  The life of a Christian is not always an easy life.  If you will read church history, you will find that some of the greatest difficulties that any groups of people have ever endured are groups of Christians.  Also, you will still have those day to day problems like how to make ends meet or car problems.  The difference is that you have Jesus Christ as your Saviour who will never leave nor forsake you.

“For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5

If you accept Christ as your Saviour, you need to tell Him in prayer that you are a sinner bound for hell.  Also tell Him that you want to take Him as your Saviour.  He has never turned anyone away who came to Him by faith that wanted to be saved.

“Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” John 6:37b

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” John 1:12

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

The night I got saved, my pastor read Romans 10:13 and read it this way: For if Mike shall call upon the name of the Lord, Mike shall be saved.  He also read John 3:16 in a similar fashion. “For God so loved Mike Walls, that he gave his only begotten Son, that if Mike Walls believeth in him Mike Walls should not perish, but Mike Walls have everlasting life.”

For the first time in my life, I realized that God loved me as an individual.  That night I bowed my head and asked Christ to save me.   Do not put this decision off to be saved.  If God is speaking to your heart right now, ask Christ to save you.  To delay could cause you to make that other decision.  That is the decision to reject Him as your Saviour.  That decision could seal your fate to go to Hell for eternity.

2 Corinthians 6:2b “behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

If you have accepted Christ as your Saviour, we would like to rejoice with you.  We also have some literature to help you in your new life.   If you have some questions, we would to take the Bible and try to answer those questions.
